Rob has been practicing law since 1991 and
is
admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut and before numerous federal courts.
Rob's
practice
focuses on intellectual property law, business transactions, real
estate and estate
planning.
Before
opening his own practice, Rob was
an associate at Pennie & Edmonds LLP, at the time one of the Nation's
oldest and largest Intellectual Property boutiques.
Subsequently, Rob
was Associate Trademark and Copyright Counsel at Colgate -
Palmolive and V.P.
of Legal Affairs at CAK/Prudential where he originated and
underwrote Intellectual Property loans (a/k/a
"Bowie-bonds"), including a 30m+ loan to S.E.S.A.C.,
one of the Nation's three performing rights collection agencies.
Currently, Rob is
Trademark/Copyright Counsel to a large New
York City firm.
Rob graduated from New York University (B.A.
1985) and received his law degree from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg
Law Center (J.D. 1991) where he was awarded jurisprudence awards
and the Dean's school service award. During law school,
Rob clerked for the Hon. George Pratt of the Court of Appeals
for the Second Circuit and the Hon. Eli Wager of the Supreme
Court, Nassau County. Rob also served
as an editor of the Law Review and was a recipient of the
Nathan Burkan award.
Rob is a member of both the International
Trademark Association and Nassau Bar Association.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the James Larsen Foundation for
Esophageal Cancer and donates his time to the local community Civic Association ("MECA").
Rob and his wife
reside in Nassau County and have three children. |
